My brother’s wife just had a baby and I am bowled over by the amount of one use / disposable products they’re going through on a daily basis. Multiply that by the tens of thousands born in Ireland annually and we’ve got a seriously unsustainable situation on our hands. Any tips on easy reusable swaps / biodegradable products available that I could bring them instead? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated by me and the planet!

Reusable diapers is one of the most common change to make, which you can wash in washing machine (60degrees). There is many brands and options, so you could google what is offered in your region. Other thing what we do is lending equipment. Like trolley or sling you could lend from someone and after return it, if you have some friend like this. As baby clothes are used so few times, then we have been getting these for free in recycle groups (facebook or some mailing lists) and then we have gave them to someone else after. Also you could buy form second hand.
